Donations to Friends United
Your donations will help Indigenous artists
Friends United is a Nova Scotia not-for-profit organization supporting Indigenous artists, cultural preservation, mentorship, and reconciliation through art.
We would like to invite you to take 4 minutes to watch this video. Please click the image below to hear directly from our friends and partners on YouTube and learn how Friends United has already been able to make a difference through our reconciliation journey since 2009, long before we became a not-for-profit organization.
Friends United is a non-profit organization that supports Indigenous artists by providing them with essential resources and programs. We have seen time and time again that art is a powerful tool that can help bring people together, heal, and create positive change in all communities. By donating to Friends United, you can help us continue to foster creativity, tradition, equality, and unity on Turtle Island (North America). In addition, your donation can help us preserve the legacies, memories, ancient wisdom and messages from the late Indigenous artists, which they left through their artwork for future generations.
Your donation will support the Artist-in-Residence (A.I.R.) program, Emerging Indigenous Artists Supplies Fund, construction of on-site artist housing, community engagement, business skill development, education, and so much more. These initiatives help provide Indigenous artists with the tools and resources they need to create inspiring works of art while promoting peace, diversity, inclusion, and working together toward reconciliation.
Everyone deserves access to the arts, and your donation will help us continue to make this possible. By supporting Friends United, you will be making a positive impact in the lives of Indigenous artists and helping to build more inclusive and diverse communities. Join our Friends United family by supporting the artists in their endeavours to preserve their important heritage and unique craftsmanship.
