One of the first public Friends United exhibitions

The Halifax Exhibition showcased the work of Indigenous artists while introducing Friends United to a broader public audience.

Held at Casino Nova Scotia in Halifax, the event created an opportunity for visitors to experience Indigenous artwork, hear from community leaders and learn about the project’s long-term vision.

Bringing people together

Speakers including Regional Chief Morley Googoo, former Premier Rodney MacDonald, Raven Davis and Helen McMillan reflected on the importance of supporting Indigenous artists and strengthening relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities.

The exhibition demonstrated how art can become a starting point for dialogue, education and mutual respect.
