Charles Chisholm – Rolf Bouman
Rolf Bouman and Charles Chisholm met for the first time in 1994 when Rolf purchased some of Charlie’s paintings. Since Rolf was always photographing and Charlie was always painting landscapes, seascapes, wildlife and people they started collaborating. Charlie asked Rolf to photograph certain subjects in great detail which Charlie then would paint. Both collaborated together on approx. 250 paintings over the next 20 years, some of which can be seen here. They jointly produced a Louisbourg series, a barn series, a wildlife series and eventually a First Nation series in order to honor North Americas´ First Nations and to build more bridges of friendships between First Nations and the rest of the world.
